Extended tree pits which filter stormwater and increase green space.
Creating extended tree pits and filling them with native and hardy plants to filter stormwater run off is a way to decrease the amount of money we spend on run off. And is also a step to further green our community. This is a chance to get local community groups involved with planting and maintenance of the pits. Similar projects have been done in NYC and also in the lines with the edible bus stops in South London.
